What happens to a lost glove? Is it picked up and taken home by someone or perhaps swept up destined for landfill?
And the remaining un-lost glove, what happened to that? Is it heartlessly discarded, or perhaps relegated to the back of a cupboard or drawer?

Losing his grip
He was really down on his luck, losing his grip on reality. He hoped that someone would win big and take pity on him - especially since he as having to hang out near Noel Edmonds (the pain was nearly too much to bare).
